A successful path .
Getting ready to return home.
Before returning, be aware that you are not left with local currency. In Israel, the lari currency is not negotiable, which means you have to find a buyer in Israel or wait until your next trip.
Make sure that your passport is on you and not left in a safe, in the lobby, or deposited elsewhere. (Be sure to keep a color photocopy of your passport in another bag.)
Check the flight time carefully, it is recommended to verify from several sources of information. In winter there is a tendency for cancellations and delays due to severe weather conditions at the airport.
Check in in advance 24 hours before your flight, but please note that due to strict security checks, you may not be able to check in online, but only physically at the airport.
Airlines recommend arriving 3 hours before the flight. However, you never know what will happen at the airport. There are reports of Israelis arriving 3 hours before their flight and claiming that they wasted time waiting in a nerve-wracking situation, while many Israelis arrived two or an hour before and almost missed their flight due to unexpected congestion. It should be remembered that this is a small airport, with peak hours that cannot be predicted in advance.
For holders of dual passports, please note that you must only use the passport with which you entered Georgia!
Taxis come from the city to the entrance of the airport. At the entrance there are currency exchange booths and a cafe.
Israeli airline counters impose a slightly more stringent inspection at the airport. Once you have deposited your luggage, enter the passenger hall through the designated entrance.
Are you in the passenger lounge? This is where the inspection and screening of bags boarding the plane will begin. Then passport control and that's it!
Don't forget to visit the Customs counter and the refund counter are located in the departures hall. Explanation of tax refund - here.
The duty-free shop in Batumi is small and sparse, don't count on it. There is also a cafe that serves meals and vending machines.
The distance between the boarding check-in counter and the plane ramp is very close, so there is no bus ride. After the check-in, you will be escorted on foot directly to the plane.
That's it! You've been in Israel for two hours. Welcome home!
Thank you for being a part of our trip to Batumi, we hope you enjoyed our service, information, sites and navigation. See you on your next trip, from me and the Batumi Online team.
Have a nice flight!
